You should perform proper debugging before using the probe.

Connect probes to the console.

Input the fuel’s standard density and factor to the console.

Measure the fuel height and the water height practically and input the data of them to the
console.

The console deals with the data transmitted from the probe and then it displays the
product level、interface level and the temperature.

After discharging the fuel, you should measure the height of the fuel and water practically
again, then compare them with the displaying height, the error value between them
should be no more than ±0.5mm

Note： When the probe is working， don't open the
cover of the ElectronicHousing.

Electric Wiring
 You can insert a 4-cores shield cable (2 Twisted Pairs) on the wiring from control room to the tank area into a 3/4” galvanized steel pipe in order to meet the requirement of electric wiring.
 Adopt Explosion-proof Flexible Pipe on the probe cable, screw down the tie-in of the Explosion-proof Flexible Pipe and the seal bolt on the probe.
 Add a 6’’to4’’bushing and a copper nipple at the other end of the Explosion-proof Flexible Pipe which should be connected with the Explosion-proof Junction Box. The inner connection bolt of the Explosion-proof Junction Box should be wired reliably and the outer grounding terminal of the Explosion-proof Junction Box should also be grounded reliably. Flanges should be grounded reliably .

You should use oil dip rod to inspect whether the real installation height of the tank is consistent with the length of the probe that we supply.

Open the box to check the accessory list in order to examine whether there is any transport failure.

Kunlun ATG system Installation:

Fetch the flange at the tank’s fuel hatches.

Insert the probe into the installation orifice of the installation flange.

Install the Ajustable fitting,O-ring seal,Flange,Product Float, Interface Float and the Nylon Stopper on the probe in turn, then lock the Snap Ring.

Insert the probe into the fuel hatches.

Raise the probe after it is put at the bottom of the tank, make sure that the distance between the end of the probe and the bottom of the tank is 2～10mm,prevent the probe from getting curving and screw down the probe locknut.

Install the installation flange closely.

KunLun automatic tank gauge is used for measuring product level and it provides high precision. The Magnetostrictive probe has advantages such as steadiness，reliability，long-life，finished frame and strong adaptability. It can be installed at the top of tanks and the tank doesn’t need to be cleaned. So KunLun ATG system also has advantages such as safety, convenience and fast installation.

KunLun Magnetostrictive Probe is designed based on magnetostrictive theory. The electronic parts of the probe produce a low-voltage electric current "inquiring" pulse, at the same time the pulse produces a magnetic field which travels downwards along the waveguide. Because there are a group of magnets which also produce a magnetic field inside the floater which is moving up and down with the change of the liquid level, there are two magnetic fields in the probe.

When two magnetic fields meet, the waveguide will twist and one wave will be produced, we call it the "returning" pulse. Then the electronic parts detect the cycle from producing the pulse of "inquiring" to receiving the pulse of "returning", i.e. the corresponding accurate change of liquid level. Installing temperature sensors inside the probe can make it detect and transfer the liquid temperature continuously at the same time.
